Hello! My name is Karina Molina and I'm currently a Middle School Special Education (6-8th grade) teacher with previous experience teaching K-3 grades. I'm a licensed teacher for General Education K-8th grade and LBS1 PreK-Age 21 in the state of Illinois. I'm a graduate from Indiana University Northwest where I majored and received my B.S. Elementary Education and PreK-Age22 Special Education Dual Degree with a Minor in Spanish in 2019. Prior to full- time teaching, I worked at a suburban high school, outside of Chicago, for four years with students that were at risk of failing. I worked with these students in small group instruction/tutoring on all subject areas to help them get on back on track.
I have a passion when it comes to working with students' interventions because I love to see that "light bulb" light up once they have made those new connections. I believe every child can learn with adjusting teaching styles and techniques to best fit them. There is no "one size fits all" when learning and being able to find the best way a child learns has always intrigued me. This is why I have decided to take my expertise to the next level and work with children outside of the classroom and on a more 1:1 basis to be sure they are receiving the best and most personalized instruction that is tailored to them so they can be successful.
